Collect lets you capture your location offline — without the need for internet. Here is how you can do that.

You do not need an internet connection to capture location using Collect. However, capturing your location with good accuracy depends on the strength of the following factors:

  • GPS signals
  • Internet connection
  • Cellular connectivity
  • WiFi signals

The strength of your GPS signal depends on the availability of satellites at your location. To check the availability of GPS signals, follow these steps:


Step 1. Go to your Collect app, go to the form you want to capture location in, and click on the 3-dots settings button on the top right of the form.

Step 2. Next, click on "Check Satellite Link". You will be able to view "Visible Satellites" and "Satellites determining your location"

Step 3. If it is less than 3 satellites, try moving to a more open space.
