The overview dashboard on Collect allows you to track the most important metrics about your data collection and monitor your projects' performance. It also allows you to filter your data by time and mobile users, and analyze the performance of your data collection over time.

In this article, we will discuss what different elements of the overview dashboard mean.

Overview Dashboard 101

Some of the key things that you can view using the overview dashboard are: total responses collected, total mobile users, total mobile devices, responses over time, and top and bottom performers in terms of the number of collected responses.

The Overview dashboard has several parts. We will look at all of them one by one here:

Filters:

1. Date: The date filter allows you to filter your responses according to a time range. You can select the time duration using the available options like Today, Yesterday, This week, etc. You can also enter the time duration manually using the time calendar.

2. Mobile Users: The mobile users filter allows you to filter your responses according to a user or a set of users. You can select the mobile users by entering the username or mobile numbers.

Number Widgets:

1. Responses: This number represents the total number of responses collected by the selected mobile users during the selected time range. If you have not applied a time and user filter, this represents the total number of responses collected by all the mobile users so far.

2. Mobile Users: This number represents the total number of mobile users that have submitted at least one response.

3. Mobile Devices: This number represents the total number of devices that have been used to submit a response. At any time, this is the total number of active, concurrent devices in your account. If one user is using multiple devices, or multiple users are using a common device, this number will be different from the number of mobile users.

Graph:

1. Responses Over Time: This graph represents the responses collected over a period of time. It allows you to see the trends followed by your data collection and understand how it is changing over time.

You can also view this graph by day, week, month and quarter using the filter buttons present on the top.

Tables:

1. Form List : This section shows the number of responses that have been collected against different forms. It allows you to see the distribution of responses among different forms ve

2. Performance of Mobile Users

a) Top 10 Performing Mobile Users: This table shows the list of users who have collected the maximum responses along with the number of responses collected by them.

b) Bottom 10 Performing Mobile Users: This table shows the list of users who have collected the least number of responses along with the number of responses collected by them.

Both top 10 and bottom 10 performing mobile users help you understand how your data collectors are performing -- who all are doing well and who all are lagging behind.

You can also switch between top and bottom view by clicking on the toggle button on the top of this table.
