With geo-locations collected in your responses, you can view all your data collected in a map. You can do this using the "Map" view on Collect.
In addition to viewing your data in the good, old table view, you can also view your location data plotted on a map. This map shows the locations collected in your data collection. Remember that a map will only be visible if you have a location question in your form. In this article, we will discuss how you can view it.
Viewing Data on a Map
Step 1. Go to your Collect account and then go to the "Forms" tab. You will be able to view a list of forms.
Step 2. Click on the form for which you want to view the responses.
Step 3. Click on the "Responses" tab. You will be able to see a table with details of responses collected using this form.
Step 4. Next, click on the “Views” tab present on the right of the screen and select the "Map" option. A map with the locations of collected data will appear.
You can zoom in and out or move this map. You can also click on each pin on the map to view all the forms and questions answered at that location.
You can also filter the responses on the map by device or date of collection:
- To apply filters, click on the "Filters" tab present below the "Views" tab.
- To filter by the device, go to the “Submitted by” bar and select the device(s) whose data you wish to see on the map.
- To filter by the date of data collection, either enter the date manually, mark it on the calendar, or select from the options available at the bottom of the calendar.
- Once you have applied the desired filters, click on “Apply filters” button to view the response map filtered according to the time duration.
